After a four-year hiatus from studio albums, Maroon 5 has made a striking comeback with their eighth album, Love Is Like, released on August 15, 2025. The album marks a deliberate full-circle moment for the band, bringing back the essence of what originally made them a standout act in the pop-rock scene.

Frontman Adam Levine explained that the band intentionally chose to write collectively again, rekindling the creative vibe they shared in their formative years. The core group, maintaining the same lineup from their previous album Jordi (2021), collaborated more intimately on this release, marking a shift from their sometimes greater reliance on outside producers in recent years. This approach helped craft an album that feels authentic and true to the band’s roots.

Love Is Like features collaborations with notable artists, including Lil Wayne, Thai rapper and singer Lisa, and American rapper Sexyy Red. The lead single “Priceless,” featuring Lisa, became an international hit, and the title track which includes Lil Wayne, highlights the band’s new yet familiar sound.

Musically, the album balances Maroon 5’s signature laid-back dance vibes with fresh elements and retro touches, offering a textured exploration of love and relationships. Songs like “Hideaway” and “Jealousy Problems” reveal vulnerability and complexity in their lyrical themes, reflecting a grown-up perspective on love that is messy and consuming.

To promote the album, Maroon 5 has announced a U.S. fall tour starting in October 2025, inviting fans to experience the new music live with support from singer-songwriter Claire Rosinkranz.

This album is a heartfelt return to the band’s beginnings, reimagined for today’s listeners but deeply connected to the band’s journey and evolution over the past decades. For fans of Maroon 5 and lovers of authentic pop-rock, Love Is Like is a compelling, well-crafted record that cements their legacy while embracing creative renewal.
