The Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority (NEPZA) has joined forces with the Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening the Federal Government’s One-Stop-Shop framework. This collaboration is set to streamline business processes and enhance drug enforcement across Nigeria’s export processing zones.

The One-Stop-Shop initiative is designed to simplify regulatory procedures, reduce bureaucratic delays, and create an investor-friendly environment within the export zones. By integrating security measures against narcotics trafficking with trade facilitation, NEPZA and NDLEA aim to protect the integrity of Nigeria’s export economy while ensuring compliance with international security standards.

Officials from NEPZA and NDLEA emphasized that the enhanced cooperation will improve monitoring and enforcement mechanisms within the designated zones. This joint effort targets the eradication of illicit drug activities that could tarnish the reputation of Nigeria’s exports and compromise economic growth.

The partnership also highlights the commitment of Nigerian authorities to fostering a safe and transparent business climate, supporting the country’s broader goals of attracting foreign investment and boosting industrialization. Export Processing Zones serve as vital hubs for economic development, and maintaining their security and efficiency is paramount.

Through this innovative collaboration, NEPZA and NDLEA are reinforcing Nigeria’s position as a secure and competitive player in the global trade arena while safeguarding public health and national security.
