A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Segun Showunmi, has called on Nigerians to emulate the good deeds of past leaders in order to build a stronger and more united country.
Showunmi made the appeal during a 40-day prayer session held in honor of former President Muhammadu Buhari. He noted that the legacies of past leaders should serve as a guide for present and future generations, stressing that good leadership values must not be forgotten.
He urged Nigerians, irrespective of political or religious differences, to uphold the virtues of selflessness, patriotism, and service to humanity demonstrated by notable leaders.
The PDP stalwart emphasized the importance of prayers for national progress and unity, adding that remembering leaders in prayer reflects gratitude and respect for their contributions to the country.
