Nigerian music star, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has opened up about a strange incident in which he was accused of practicing juju simply because he had not shaved his armpits.

The Grammy Award-winning singer revealed the experience while speaking about some of the misconceptions people often hold about celebrities. According to him, the accusation left him shocked, as it highlighted how quickly people can create negative narratives around public figures without any basis.

Burna Boy explained that as an African artist, he has often been the subject of rumors and baseless claims, but the particular accusation about his armpits stood out as one of the most absurd. He noted that such incidents reflect the ignorance and superstition that still influence public perception in some circles.

Despite the controversies, Burna Boy emphasized that such stories have never distracted him from his music career. Instead, they serve as a reminder of the challenges celebrities face in balancing fame, cultural beliefs, and public expectations.

The singer, who remains one of Africa’s biggest global music exports, urged fans to focus more on the positive impact of music and creativity rather than unfounded claims.
