The Jigawa State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission has called for closer cooperation with the Nigeria Police Force in addressing cases of corruption, public grievances, and rights violations in the state.
The commission made the appeal during a courtesy visit to the state police command headquarters, where its officials highlighted the importance of synergy between the two institutions. According to them, effective collaboration would not only strengthen the fight against corruption but also ensure quicker resolution of public complaints brought before the commission.
The Police Command, in response, pledged support for the commission’s activities and assured that officers would work closely with the agency to uphold justice and protect the rights of citizens.
Observers note that the partnership is expected to boost public confidence in governance, especially in tackling cases of abuse of office, maladministration, and other misconduct affecting ordinary citizens.
