2027: ADC Coalition Leaders Could Not Answer 99 Percent of Our Questions – SDP’s Adebayo

The 2027 elections may still be some years away, but political realignments and coalition talks are already shaping the national conversation. Social Democratic Party (SDP) presidential candidate in the last election, Prince Adewole Adebayo, has raised doubts about the seriousness of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition, claiming its leaders failed to answer almost all the questions posed to them during recent discussions.

According to Adebayo, dialogue between the SDP and ADC coalition leaders exposed a lack of clarity, preparation, and vision on the part of those pushing for the alliance. He stressed that while coalitions are important in building stronger opposition platforms, they must be rooted in genuine ideas and practical solutions to Nigeria’s challenges, not just political arithmetic.

He explained that 99 percent of the questions asked during the engagement went unanswered, suggesting that the coalition leaders were more focused on power-sharing arrangements than on policy direction. For Adebayo, this raises concerns about whether such alliances can truly offer Nigerians a credible alternative in 2027.

The SDP chieftain further noted that Nigerians are tired of empty promises and political games. He emphasized that any coalition that wants to be taken seriously must demonstrate readiness with concrete plans for governance, ranging from the economy to security, education, and national unity.
