Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has been sentenced to 50 months (just over four years) in prison following his conviction on two counts related to transporting individuals for prostitution. The sentencing took place on October 3, 2025, in a New York federal court, bringing an end to a high-profile trial that captivated national attention.

Prior to sentencing, Combs appeared emotional as he apologized to the victims, his family, and the court, describing his behavior as “disgusting, shameful, and sick.” The judge, Arun Subramanian, emphasized the seriousness of Combs’ actions and noted that the sentence is meant to send a strong message about accountability for abuses of power, especially against women.

Combs has already served 12 months in custody since his arrest in September 2024, which will be credited towards his sentence. In addition to prison time, he was fined $500,000 and ordered to serve five years of supervised release following incarceration. The judge also mandated participation in outpatient treatment and mental health programs.

During the trial, Combs was acquitted of more severe racketeering and sex trafficking charges, but convicted on the lesser but still serious charges related to prostitution-related offenses. Prosecutors had pushed for an 11-year sentence, while the defense sought a lighter punishment closer to the 14 months Combs had already served.

This sentencing marks a significant chapter in Combs’ legal battles and has sparked widespread discussion about celebrity accountability and justice.
