Popular Lagos-based auto influencer and entrepreneur, Olayinka Akinwande, popularly known as Ola of Lagos, has addressed recent controversy surrounding the demolition of a car lot in Lekki, Lagos State. In a public statement issued via social media and his YouTube channel, Ola clarified that the property owned by Skywise Group, which was demolished by the Lagos State Government, is not his.

Ola explained that he only leased a section of the property from Skywise Group for his business operations and has never claimed ownership of the land or any structures on it. He emphasized that the demolition was part of the Lagos State Government’s urban safety and environmental regulations enforcement and was not specifically targeted at him or his brand.

He expressed support for the government’s initiative, underscoring the necessity of compliance with safety standards to protect the public. Despite the setback, Ola reassured his followers and business partners that his auto showroom brand remains strong and that he plans to reopen a larger, better facility soon.

In his message, Ola also praised the cooperation and professionalism of the Skywise Group’s management throughout his lease period, dismissing rumors of any disputes or disagreements.
