The Lagos chapter of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the apex socio-cultural organization of the Igbo people, has declared its full support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in the 2027 general elections. Speaking during a reconciliation meeting organized by the Lagos4Lagos Movement, Chief Sunday Udeh, President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos, expressed confidence in Tinubu’s victory and leadership, describing him as “a man who knows the game.”

Chief Udeh emphasized the importance of peace and unity between the Yoruba and Igbo communities, urging both ethnic groups to foster mutual respect and avoid animosity and bitterness. He called on the Lagos State government to continue giving the Igbo community and other ethnic groups a sense of belonging in the state.

Other Igbo leaders and women leaders in Lagos also echoed their support for Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC), praising the party’s achievements and calling on the Igbo people to join the “winning team.” The endorsement reflects the growing political collaboration between the communities in Lagos ahead of the upcoming elections.

This development highlights a significant alliance in Nigeria’s political landscape, signaling confidence in Tinubu’s administration and setting the tone for voter solidarity in the 2027 elections.
