Nigerian international Victor Boniface is on the verge of joining AC Milan in a significant move that could shape the Serie A club’s attacking lineup this season. The deal, reportedly structured as a loan from Bayer Leverkusen with an option to buy for around €30 million, is at an advanced stage of finalization.

Boniface, 24, who recently played a key role in Leverkusen’s Bundesliga title-winning campaign and earned the Bundesliga Rookie of the Year award for the 2023/24 season, appears eager to make the switch to the iconic Italian club. Sporting director Igli Tare and AC Milan’s management have pushed the transfer forward rapidly, as negotiations with Leverkusen intensified following their official offer.

This move reflects Milan’s intent to strengthen their frontline, with Boniface favored over other targets like Rasmus Højlund and Dušan Vlahović. Once personal terms are fully agreed upon, Boniface is expected to travel to Milan for medicals and officially join the Rossoneri.
