Nigeria’s leading carrier, Air Peace, has strengthened its international operations with the addition of a fourth Boeing 777 aircraft to its fleet.

The new wide-body aircraft is expected to boost the airline’s capacity for long-haul flights, enabling it to expand routes across Europe, Asia, and the Americas while offering more competitive ticket prices.

Air Peace Chairman, Allen Onyema, said the acquisition aligns with the airline’s vision of making intercontinental travel more affordable for Nigerians and other African passengers. He stressed that the airline is determined to break the dominance of foreign carriers by providing quality service at fair pricing, thereby saving Nigerians from excessive airfares.

With the fourth Boeing 777, Air Peace now has one of the largest fleets of wide-body aircraft in West Africa, a development seen as a strategic step in positioning Nigeria as a hub for international aviation. Industry analysts note that the move could also enhance the country’s tourism and trade opportunities by improving connectivity.

Air Peace already operates direct long-haul services to destinations such as London, Jeddah, and Johannesburg. The expanded fleet is expected to pave the way for additional routes and increase passenger confidence in Nigerian-owned carriers.
