The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially inaugurated a massive 1,800-member campaign council in preparation for the November 8, 2025, Anambra State governorship election. The event, held at the party’s State Headquarters in Awka, was marked by a show of determination to unseat the incumbent Governor Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
National Chairman of the APC, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, who was represented by the South-East National Vice Chairperson, Ijeoma Arodiogbu, stressed the party’s commitment to victory and declared that the party has the resources and structure needed to take over the state. He reminded the campaign council members of the support from key leaders including the Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma and President Bola Tinubu, emphasizing that success in Anambra was assured.
The campaign council is tasked with grassroots mobilization, voter education, and coordination at various levels, including senatorial, local government, ward, and polling units. This extensive structure aims to ensure thorough coverage across the state to secure votes for the APC candidate, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, and his running mate, Senator Uche Ekwunife.
In his remarks, Ukachukwu criticized the current administration, particularly highlighting the deteriorating security situation and infrastructural decay in Anambra. Promising practical governance, he pledged to focus on bolstering security, stimulating industrial development through a gas power plant, and revolutionizing agriculture via insurance schemes for mechanized farming.
The inauguration of the campaign council represents APC’s aggressive push to reclaim Anambra State, backed by a comprehensive blueprint for development and a dedicated team ready to deliver electoral victory in the 2025 polls.
