He formally registered as a member at his Jada 1 Ward in Adamawa State on November 23, 2025, in a ceremony attended by notable party officials, including Senator Sadiq Yar’Adua, the ADC National Secretary.
Atiku’s membership follow his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in July 2025, which was due to prolonged internal crises and irreconcilable differences within the party. His registration with ADC consolidates opposition figures around a coalition platform aiming to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
