Police in Lagos has arrested a man who identified himself as Mr. Michael Akande
on Wednesday morning at Supersaver Supermarket near Alapere Estate over an alleged car theft, Toyota Corolla 2005 model.

According to information gathered, the incident happened exactly 9:45 am when Michael drove the car to the supermarket to get some toiletries.

The suspect worked as a personal assistant to a car dealer identified as Mr. Wale Agbolagade who deals in the sales of popular Tokunbo cars.

The suspect was sent to drive a car from Apapa to the Used Car Lot at Oworosoki, but on arrival, he told his boss that the car was snatched from him by unknown armed robbers on his way coming.

The car dealer who
picked his phone to call the nearest Police Station at Alapere was
ordered to come over to the Station with the suspect who said the car was stolen from him.

When they got to the Station, the Divisional Police Officer, Mr. Felix Benson interrogated the suspect to explain how the car was snatched from him.

Responding, he said the armed robbers came to meet him that the rear tyre was very bad at Mobil filling station at Gbagada,

The police after interrogation kept tracing the suspect everyday until they locate his house just to found out that the car was parked at his compound without plate number.

This made the police officers keep on tracing him till when he drove the car to the supermarket to get stuff and he was arrested.

Michael’s wife at Station said her husband bought the car for her as a birthday gift.
