Amid swirling rumors of defections from the All Progressives Congress (APC), one of former President Muhammadu Buhari’s ministers, Mu’azu Jaji Sambo, has emphatically denied plans to leave the ruling party. In a recent statement, Sambo made it clear that he remains fully committed to the APC and its Renewed Hope Agenda under President Bola Tinubu’s leadership.
Sambo described himself as a “core APC member” and stressed that his political alignment is rooted in the party’s vision for national development and stability. He highlighted that loyalty to the party is essential for the continuity of ongoing projects and policies beneficial to Nigerians.
His declaration comes at a time when several high-profile defections from the APC to opposition parties have raised concerns about the ruling party’s cohesion. Despite this, Sambo expressed confidence in Tinubu’s administration and rejected notions of stepping aside due to internal party challenges or political disagreements.
The minister’s firm stance of staying within the APC is seen as an attempt to encourage unity and stability within the party as it prepares for upcoming elections and governance challenges.
