Adekunle Olapade, a former contestant of the popular reality TV show Big Brother Naija (BBNaija), has revealed an inside truth about the intimate living conditions in the BBNaija house — all housemates see each other naked regularly. Adekunle shared this during a podcast interview with Pulse Nigeria while addressing controversies surrounding intimate videos involving current housemates Koyin, Isabella, Jason Jae, and Sultana.
According to Adekunle, the shared bathrooms, limited privacy, and constant camera surveillance mean that housemates quickly adjust to being unclothed in front of each other. He said, “You cannot be in a house with somebody that you see without clothes almost everyday and not be attracted to the person. It won’t work.”
He also called out viewers of the show for being hypocritical in their judgments of relationships forming on the show, emphasizing that physical attraction is a natural outcome of the constant exposure to one another in such settings.
Adekunle featured in BBNaija during the 2022 ‘Level Up’ season and the 2023 ‘All Stars’ season, providing him with firsthand experience of the house dynamics. His comments offer a glimpse into the reality behind the scenes, explaining why romantic relationships and intimate moments are prevalent and often inevitable in the toxic environment of the BBNaija house.
This revelation has sparked fresh conversations among fans and critics about the nature of interactions within reality TV shows, privacy boundaries, and the pressures housemates face.
