Abdul-Azeez Adediran, popularly known as Jandor and former governorship candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, has predicted a sweeping victory for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election. Speaking during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Jandor said Tinubu’s influence has grown considerably nationwide since the 2023 elections.

Jandor recalled that despite Tinubu losing Lagos State to the Labour Party’s Peter Obi in 2023—a notable political upset—he believes such an occurrence will not repeat itself in 2027. “2027, not only in Lagos but across the country, is going to be a walkover for the man whose courage has given us a lot in this country today,” Jandor stated confidently.

Jandor also highlighted that his own movement, Lagos for Lagos, which was outside the political system in 2023, is now reintegrated, signaling stronger political alignment ahead of the next elections. Having rejoined the APC earlier in 2025 after resigning from PDP, Jandor also declared his intention to contest the Lagos governorship again in 2027.

Looking ahead, Jandor expressed willingness to support whoever is chosen as the APC candidate for Lagos governor, including President Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu, should he contest. The prediction of a Tinubu landslide in 2027 underscores the perceived dominance of the president and the APC as Nigeria approaches a pivotal electoral cycle.
