The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has announced a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Olumide Adebiyi Adediran, a Nigerian national wanted for multiple federal fraud charges in the United States. Adediran, who has been a fugitive since 2001, faces serious allegations including bank fraud, identity document fraud, and unauthorized credit card transactions.

According to the FBI, Adediran used stolen identities of U.S. citizens to open fraudulent bank and charge accounts. In August 2001, he reportedly attempted to withdraw money from a bank in Champaign, Illinois, using a fraudulent check. Just before his federal trial was set to begin in December 2001, Adediran fled from the Central District of Illinois, violating the conditions of his release. A federal arrest warrant was issued in January 2002.

Authorities describe Adediran as a 56-year-old Black male, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing around 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. The FBI notes he has ties to South Florida and is known to use various aliases including Kevin Olumide Adediran and Eric O. Williams.

The FBI urges anyone with information about Adediran’s whereabouts to contact their local FBI office, the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate, or submit tips anonymously through the FBI’s website. The reward aims to assist law enforcement in bringing Adediran to justice after more than two decades on the run.
