The Senior Advocate urged a more nuanced understanding of Nigeria’s complex security challenges, which include ethnic, political, and resource-based factors. Falana criticized the use of these claims to justify external threats and sanctions, arguing that such approaches deepen divisions and undermine Nigeria’s sovereignty.
Falana called on the Nigerian government to focus on internal reforms and conflict resolution mechanisms to address root causes of violence instead of yielding to external pressures based on misinformation.
