Yobe State Governor, Hon. (Dr.) Mai Mala Buni, has officially sworn in the new Grand Khadi, Abba Alhaji Mammadi, alongside five special advisers and thirteen permanent secretaries during a ceremony at the Government House Banquet Hall in Damaturu. Addressing the appointees, Governor Buni emphasized the critical values of honesty, fairness, and justice as guiding principles they must uphold in their public duties.

Governor Buni described the new appointees as “valuable assets” chosen on merit, commitment, and loyalty to strengthen governance and deepen the bond between the government and the people of Yobe State. He reminded them that their offices are entrusted positions requiring conscientious discharge of duties under constant public scrutiny.

He further encouraged innovation, adherence to due process, and the injection of fresh ideas to enhance effective and efficient service delivery across all sectors. “Your new office is a trust; you should be guided by honesty, fairness, and justice to all, without recourse to political, religious, or ethno-cultural differences,” Governor Buni cautioned.

The Governor congratulated the new Grand Khadi and appointees, charging them to justify the confidence placed in them through selfless service aimed at advancing good governance and improving the lives of Yobe citizens. He also highlighted the state’s commitment to continuous progress in sectors like education and social programs.

This significant ceremony included the swearing-in of five special advisers and 13 permanent secretaries, further signaling an active drive to consolidate effective leadership in the state government.
