The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has announced the reopening of its Student Loan Portal for a limited 48-hour window to allow verification of students applying for loans for the 2024/2025 academic year. The portal reopening was officially communicated to provide eligible Nigerian students another opportunity to confirm their details and complete the loan application process.
According to NELFUND officials, the portal will be accessible from 12:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 12, to 12:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. This reopening is aimed at ensuring that students who missed the initial window or encountered technical issues are given a fair chance to participate in the loan program.
NELFUND’s interest-free student loan scheme continues to offer accessible education financing to Nigerians enrolled or seeking enrollment in public tertiary institutions nationwide. With the verification process, the fund seeks to maintain accuracy and eligibility standards, helping more students access funds to further their education.
Students are encouraged to visit the official NELFUND Student Loan Portal to verify their educational information, student status, and Nigerian identity. Early applications and verifications are encouraged due to the brief reopening period.
