The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has officially scheduled the online recruitment test for shortlisted applicants seeking to join the Superintendent Cadre for Thursday, October 2, 2025. This computerized test is a critical phase in the ongoing recruitment exercise aimed at filling vacancies within the higher officer ranks of the service.

Candidates have been divided into three batches (A, B, and C) and are required to log in to the official NCS update portal using their National Identification Number (NIN) to confirm their batch, date, and time of the test. Strict compliance with assigned batch schedules is mandatory; failure to adhere will result in automatic disqualification.

The agency has issued stern warnings against the use of calculators, electronic devices, switching browser windows, or making multiple log-in attempts during the test as these actions could lead to immediate expulsion from the exam platform. Candidates are advised to ensure a quiet environment during the test with no distractions, as the system may monitor for movement and noise.

Notably, the online test is exclusively for the Superintendent Cadre candidates at this stage. Applicants aspiring for Inspectorate and Assistant Cadres will receive separate notifications and testing schedules later.

This recruitment drive follows an earlier phase in September 2025, where over 286,000 candidates were invited for initial computer-based tests to fill nearly 4,000 vacancies across multiple cadres. The Superintendent Cadre represents higher-level positions with expanded responsibilities within the Customs service.

Prospective officers are encouraged to keep abreast of updates strictly through the official NCS communication channels to avoid misinformation from unofficial sources.
