The Nigerian Film Corporation (NFC) has officially dismissed recent rumors circulating on social media claiming that Ali Nuhu, the corporation’s Managing Director and renowned Nollywood actor, has died. The rumors, which spread rapidly on platforms like Facebook and WhatsApp, alleged that Nuhu was involved in a fatal car accident. However, the NFC has categorically refuted these claims as “false and malicious.”

In a statement issued on Monday evening, Brian Etuk, the NFC’s Director of Public Affairs, affirmed that Ali Nuhu is very much alive, healthy, and actively fulfilling his professional responsibilities. The corporation expressed concern over the misinformation causing unnecessary distress among fans and the film community.

Ali Nuhu, celebrated for his extensive contributions to the Nigerian film industry and his leadership role at NFC, remains a prominent figure whose well-being is closely followed by many. The NFC urged the public and media to verify information with credible sources and refrain from sharing unverified news that could cause panic or harm.

This is not the first time the actor has been the subject of false death reports, a recurring challenge faced by many celebrities globally in the age of social media.

The Nigerian film fraternity has welcomed the clarification, continuing to celebrate Ali Nuhu’s achievements and looking forward to his ongoing work in promoting Nigeria’s creative industry.
