The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) spokesman has expressed a growing public desire for the party to resolve its internal challenges and present a united front ahead of the 2027 general elections. Nigerians, according to the spokesperson, are eager to see the PDP put its house in order and demonstrate readiness to reclaim the nation’s highest political offices.
Speaking during a recent press briefing, the spokesman highlighted ongoing efforts within the party to reconcile differences, unify various factions, and ensure an effective and transparent National Convention scheduled for November 2025 in Ibadan, Oyo State. These actions, he said, are designed to build confidence among party members and the wider electorate.
The spokesman acknowledged that previous years have been marked by internal disputes and defections, but stressed that the current leadership is fully committed to fostering cohesion. He reassured Nigerians that PDP is focused on delivering a credible alternative to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) by strengthening its structures and embracing democratic principles.
