PRESS RELEASE BY UCHE ONYEAGUCHA GOVERNORSHIP CAMPAIGN ORGANIZATION
OKOROCHA’S RECENT COMMENT IN LONDON TO STOP ONYEAGUCHA FROM EMERGING AS APGA GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATE: AN EMPTY THREAT OF A LAME DUCK GOVERNOR
Our attention has been drawn to the most ridiculous and juvenile comment credited to Governor Ethelbert Okorocha in London over the weekend. While addressing some Imo indigenes in the UK at the secret wedding ceremony of his son, Governor Okorocha boasted that he would do everything within his power to stop Rt. Hon Uche Onyeagucha from emerging as APGA governorship candidate in the State. As if that was not enough, the Governor further went off the track to say that he will personally determine who shall emerge as APGA governorship candidate in Imo State.
We make bold to say that in making this claim, the Governor has indeed lost his navigational compass.
In our view such an assertion is nothing but a clear evidence of a man suffering from diarrhea of the mouth.
For Okorocha to believe that he has the capacity to stop Onyeagucha from emerging as APGA governorship candidate or indeed determine who becomes APGA flagbearer in the State is laughable.
The salient questions here are: why is Okorocha so afraid of Onyeagucha? Why is Onyeagucha’s governorship ambition so terrifying to Governor Okorocha? And what makes the lame duck Governor Okorocha believe that he has the capacity to stop Hon Uche Onyeagucha from emerging as APGA governorship candidate, with only nine months to his exit, if God approves otherwise. Maybe the Governor is in malarial affliction.
Well, no point ventilating such fictional spin from the Governor. The truth is that Governor Okorocha does not even have the gumption to determine who becomes the candidate of his own party APC in the State. He cannot also determine the emergence of his fledgling son-in-law as its candidate in the State.
Instead of focusing on the horizontal schism in his party and the entanglement his selfishness has brought upon him, his family and his party, he is busy throwing sand at a cruising aircraft which he has absolutely no muscle to stop.
At any rate, we want to remind him once again that his administration has woefully failed the people of Imo State in all ramifications as the people are now anxiously awaiting his exit from office within the next few months.
We advice that instead of constituting himself into further nuisance in the State he should commence the onerous task of preparing his exit notes and also contemplate his dance to the drumbeat of the law.
Chief Press Secretary to Hon Uche Onyeagucha.
