The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially confirmed two international friendly matches for the Super Eagles against Venezuela and Colombia in the United States this November. The matches are part of Nigeria’s ongoing preparations ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The first friendly is scheduled for Friday, November 14, 2025, against Venezuela at Shell Stadium in Houston, Texas, with kickoff slated for 8 PM local time. The Super Eagles will then face Colombia on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Citi Field Stadium in Flushing Meadows, Queens, New York, starting at 8 PM Eastern Time.
These fixtures provide an opportunity for Super Eagles manager Eric Chelle to assess his squad’s readiness and integrate new talents as the team gears up for major tournaments. Nigeria holds a strong record against Venezuela, unbeaten in their previous encounters, while matches against Colombia will be the latest chapter in a developing rivalry.
The friendlies will also serve as valuable exposure for Nigeria on the international stage, with the USA hosting matches as part of the global soccer calendar.
