Veteran Nigerian musician Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Baba, has marked his 25th anniversary in the music industry with a deeply emotional open letter of gratitude. Reflecting on a career spanning a quarter of a century, 2Baba expressed heartfelt thanks to everyone who played a role in shaping his musical journey.

In the letter titled “Open Letter of Gratitude – 2Baba @ 25 Years in the Industry,” he credited his mentors, colleagues, and supporters, acknowledging especially Nelson Brown for believing in the dream of Plantashun Boiz, the group that launched his career. 2Baba also thanked industry stalwarts such as Baba Keke, D1, Eddie Lawani, and DJ Jimmy Jatt for their unwavering support.

He highlighted the journey as not just about music but a story of faith, love, resilience, and unity. “Without you, there’d be no me,” he wrote, emphasizing that the milestone belongs to all who contributed to his success, from producers to fans.

To cap his celebration, 2Baba announced plans for a grand anniversary event slated for November 14, 2025, at the Congress Hall of Transcorp Hilton, Abuja. His legacy includes timeless hits like “African Queen” and “If Love Is a Crime,” and his career continues to inspire generations across Africa and beyond.
