Wizkid’s close associate, popularly known as Tufab, has publicly accused Davido of threatening his life in a heated online exchange that has since gone viral. According to Tufab, the exchange began when Davido reacted angrily to a name Tufab allegedly used for him, unleashing a series of alarming messages.
In the shared chat screenshots, Davido reportedly said he wasn’t pleased with being called “Osakpolo” and warned Tufab to stop, adding cryptically, “I be aye, you be bird. Wetin wan happen… make we play d game.” Taken aback, Tufab responded that he never used the name and pleaded with Davido to stop the threats.
Feeling unsafe, Tufab broke his silence in a public post, disclaiming any involvement with cults or fraternities and affirming his identity as a devout Christian. He wrote that this wasn’t the first time he had been targeted, and he believed his life was in danger. His message warned: “If anything happens to me, y’all know who to hold responsible,” framing his public disclosure as both a self-protection and a demand for accountability.
The allegations have sparked widespread concern on social media, where netizens have expressed shock, with many urging authorities to take the matter seriously. Meanwhile, others have questioned the authenticity of the timestamps visible in the screenshots, with some suggesting the interaction might be staged.
