Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has voiced deep concern about the growing despair and frustration among young Nigerians regarding the country’s political and economic situation. In a recent meeting with a group of youths from 19 northern states, Atiku heard firsthand of their worries about poor governance, fraudulent elections, and harsh economic conditions impacting their livelihoods.

Atiku acknowledged the sadness and urgency reflected in their voices, noting that many youths feel their votes do not count and that the current policies are harming their standards of living and business opportunities. Despite the challenges, Atiku encouraged young Nigerians not to lose hope, emphasizing that meaningful change can only be achieved through active participation in the democratic process, particularly voting in the upcoming 2027 elections.

He urged youths to mobilize their peers to boost voter turnout, stressing that past voter apathy is detrimental to progress. Atiku reaffirmed his commitment to fighting anti-democratic forces and restoring hope and good governance in Nigeria.

This message resonates amid the increasing political engagement of Nigerian youths, who are eager for reforms that directly address their challenges and futures.
