Elebuibon Urges Yoruba Sons and Daughters to Avoid Pitting Alaafin Against Ooni

Chief Elebuibon, a prominent Yoruba traditional leader, has called on citizens to refrain from inciting conflicts between the Alaafin of Oyo and the Ooni of Ife, stressing the importance of unity and mutual respect among traditional rulers. In a public statement, he warned that unnecessary disputes could divide communities and weaken the cultural heritage of the Yoruba people.

Elebuibon emphasized that both the Alaafin and the Ooni hold significant spiritual and historical roles, serving as custodians of Yoruba traditions and symbols of community cohesion.
