Werder Bremen forward Victor Boniface has praised his compatriot Tolu Arokodare after the striker netted the decisive goal in Nigeria’s 1-0 victory over Rwanda during the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers on September 6, 2025.
Although Boniface was not part of the matchday squad due to fitness concerns, he took to social media to celebrate Arokodare’s match-winning goal. He reshared a dedicated post applauding Arokodare’s performance with the caption, “Na so my guy,” signaling his support and admiration for the striker’s crucial contribution.
The victory, secured through Arokodare’s goal just five minutes into the second half, proved vital in keeping Nigeria’s qualification hopes alive in a tightly contested Group C. Despite the setback of losing star striker Victor Osimhen to injury, the Super Eagles showed resilience and secured maximum points in a do-or-die matchup.
Nigeria now sits third in the group with nine points, preparing for an important away game against South Africa, who currently lead the group with 16 points.

Wow that was odd. I just wrote an incredibly long comment but after I clicked submit my comment didn’t appear. Grrrr… well I’m not writing all that over again. Anyhow, just wanted to say excellent blog!
The other day, while I was at work, my cousin stole my iPad and tested to see if it can survive a 30 foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation. My apple ipad is now destroyed and she has 83 views. I know this is totally off topic but I had to share it with someone!
